Editing Office Files #

You can edit an Office file in the following ways:

• Edit the file directly in Narbulut nDocs Workspace (No Microsoft Office license needed.)
• Edit on your computer by downloading the file. (Microsoft Office license is required.)

Editing an Office File in Narbulut nDocs Workspace #

If you want to work on the same file with other users, you can edit an Office file directly in Narbulut nDocs Workspace. You can work simultaneously on the same document.

Editing an Office File #

In Narbulut nDocs Workspace double-click on the file you want to work on; it will open on the browser quickly.

Tips: #

• Narbulut nDocs Workspace supports password-protected documents.

Unsupported Features #

The following features are not supported when editing with Docs, Sheets, or Slides:

• Macros
• Embedded graphics and videos in Word and PowerPoint files are converted to images.
• Linked spreadsheets in Excel files.

Downloading Office files #

To download office files:

1. Go to your workspace in web panel via browser.
2. Right click on the office file you want to download.
3. Click on Download from the pop-up or click on Download icon on the right side of the document.

Narbulut nDocs Workspace supports the following file type extensions:

• Documents : .doc, .docx, .rtf, .odt, .txt, .pdf
• Sheets : .xls, .xlsx, .ods
• Presentations : .ppt, .pptx, .odp
• Video : .mp4
• Audio : .mp3
• Images : .jpg, .png, .gif

File types that you can download or save in an Office format

• Documents: .docx, .doc, .pdf, .odt, .rtf, .epub
• Spreadsheets: .xlsx, .xls, .pdf, .ods, .csv
• Presentations: .pptx, .ppt, .pdf, .odp, .odg
