You can share the files and folders you store in Narbulut nDocs Workspace with any user.
While sharing a file from Narbulut nDocs Workspace, you can authorize users to edit or just view the file, or set download and quota limits on your shares; you can also set an expiration date, and provide SMS or mail notifications.
Narbulut program policies apply to the shares made from the Narbulut nDocs Workspace environment.
Step 1: Find The File You Want to Share #
Sharing One File #
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Right-click on the file you want to share.
- Click on
Share in the drop-down menu or click on
Share icon on the right side.
Generating a Download Link for One File #
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Right-click on the file you want to share by generating a download link.
- Click on
Download link in the drop-down menu or click on
Download link icon on the right.
- Click on Generate Download Link.
- Click on Copy link. Paste on an e-mail or any other apps to share it.

Step 2: Select Users to Share with and Authorize Them #
Sharing With Specific Users #
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Right-click on the file you want to share.
- Click on
Share in the drop-down menu or click on
Share icon on the right side.
- Select the users you want to share with.
- Select Full, View, or Special from the list at the top right to determine what users can do with your document when you share your file.
- If you select the special, determine the authorizations you want to grant.
- You can inform the users via Mail or SMS by clicking on the checkboxes. If you do not want to notify users, uncheck the corresponding box.
- Click on Share.
Sharing Download Link for a File #
You can send the download link of your file to other users. You can give permission to users you select or send as open to everyone. So, anyone who knows the link can access your folder. You can limit the expiration date and IP addresses.
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Right-click on the file you want to share by generating a download link.
- Click on
Download link in the drop-down menu or click on
Download link icon on the right.
- Make sure that “Open to everyone” option is disabled.
- Select the users you want to share the file with.
- Determine the expiration date of the share and IP limit from the advanced tab.
- Click on Generate Download Link.
- Click on Copy link. Paste on an e-mail or any other apps to share it.
Sharing Files as Open to Everyone #
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Right-click on the file you want to share by generating a download link.
- Click on
Download link in the drop-down menu or click on
Download link icon on the right.
- Make sure that “Open to everyone” option is enabled.
- Determine the expiration date of the share and IP limit from the advanced tab.
- Click on Generate Download Link.
- Click on Copy link. Paste on an e-mail or any other apps to share it.
Sharing and Working on Files with Multiple Users #
In Narbulut nDocs Workspace, you can simultaneously work on Documents, Tables or Presentation files with a large number of users that you share and authorize.
To share a file with multiple users and work on it at the same time, you can do the following:
Sharing Files #
- If many users need to view a file at the same time, share the file. Give editing permissions to users who need to edit the file.
- Depending on the authorization you grant, a shared file can be seen by a user in your organization, or a group of users, or anyone in your organization. Pay attention when posting sensitive information.
- Important note: If you have an account linked to the work or school account, your administrator can limit who can view a shared file. If you’re an administrator, learn how to control users for file sharing.
- After sharing a file, if you require to stop sharing before the expiration date, cancel sharing from the relevant page. Learn about cancelling the file share below.
Accessing Shared Files #
To access the files and folder you have shared click on My Shares on the left menu in Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
To access the files and folder you have shared click on Shared with me on the left menu in Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
Limitations of Shared Files #
Determining Full, View or Special Permissions to Users
When sharing a file, you can define and limit what the user can do with that file.
- Full: Users can copy, move, delete, download files.
- View: Users can only view the files.
- Special: Users can copy, move, delete, download the files or these authorizations can be customized. Expiry date, download, size, IP restriction can be defined.
Changing the Shared Users #
When you share a file, you can change or remove the authorizations of the users that you have given access to, and add new users or groups over time.
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Click on
My Shares on the left menu. Right-click on the file that you want to change authorizations of.
- Click on
Share in the drop-down menu or click on
Share icon on the right side.
- In the pop-up you can add new users you want to share with, and remove users you want to remove.
Cancelling File Sharing #
When you share a file, you can stop sharing before its expiration date.
- Go to login.narbulut.com, and then Narbulut nDocs Workspace area.
- Click on
My Shares on the left menu. Right-click on the file that you want to stop sharing.
- Click on
Share in the drop-down menu or click on
Share icon on the right side.
- Click on icon at the right of users or groups.
